Spain, Sarriguren: The company is delivering 216 MW of solar equipment for a project in Brazil.

Spanish electrical engineering company Ingeteam SA this week announced that it is supplying and installing its power conversion units for the 256 MWp third phase of the Sao Goncalo solar power complex in Brazil’s Piaui state.

Under this 216 MW order, Ingeteam has delivered 30 power stations of 7.2 MW per unit. Each includes four 1.8 MW solar inverters, a power transformer, medium-voltage switchgear, auxiliary services panel and transformer, UPS and a power plant controller.

The photovoltaic (PV) complex is currently being build by Enel Green Power Brasil Participacoes Ltda. At present, Sao Goncalo has 608 MWp of solar capacity in operation, corresponding to its first two phases. The third one is expected to enter into service this year.

Once the new section is in operation, the PV complex will have 864 MWp of total capacity, allowing for an annual generation of 2,200 GWh.
