WEG products are recognized in the market for their safety, robust construction and durability they offer, in addition to standing out for their excellent competitiveness.

A proof of this is the long-lasting partnership with some customers, and in the case of Furnas Centrais Elétricas S.A., a power utility company that operates in the power transmission segment that continues to count on several equipment and solutions provided by WEG.

The present supply includes a large three-phase 350 MVA, 345 kV / 20 kV power transformer, scheduled for delivery in June 2021 to Ibiúna Substation located in the state of São Paulo.

The equipment will serve as stand-by for the 4 transformers in the synchronous compensator system, which has been in operation for over 30 years. Benefits of the supply include reduction in a timeframe for an eventual replacement or maintenance, as well as offering higher reliability to the energy transmission system.
