KONČAR to build 110/20 kV substation for Rimac Campus

Croatia, Sveta Nedjelja: Končar – Engineering for Plant Installation & Commissioning signed a $9.1 M (HRK 57.2 M) agreement with Rimac.

The company is to construct a 110/20 kV substation for Rimac Campus.

The scope of the turn-key project also includes relocation of the existing 110 kV power line Rakitje – Tumbri 3 and the construction of a new 110 kV cable connection line for Rimac Automobili d.o.o.

The agreement was signed by the CEO of Rimac Automobili, Mate Rimac, and Member of the Boar of KONČAR – Engineering for Plant Installation & Commissioning Member, Gordan Planinić.

KONČAR will deliver this crucial project for the electricity supply at the new Rimac Campus R&D and production facility.

To provide the necessary requirements of 20 MW power and 110 kV voltage level, KONČAR will partner up with HOPS – Croatian Transmission System Operator.

The future substation, located behind Kerestinec castle, will include a facility for the power plant and control as well as other equipment, while the power transformers and cable connections will be located on the substation plateau.

The project delivery date is 14 months starting from the possession of site and issuance of valid building permit.
