NTPC tenders 500 MW of solar EPC work

India, New Delhi: The bidders can submit bids for setting up the grid-connected solar projects anywhere in India by 10 August.

State-run power producer NTPC Limited has invited bids to set up 500 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects anywhere in India. The projects are tendered under the open category, allowing the use of only India-made cells and modules.

Bidders can compete for 50 MW up to all of 500 MW capacity on offer, in 10 MW multiples.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning, and three years of operation and maintenance of the complete solar plant, including switchyard and power evacuation system up to the interconnecting grid substation.

The scope includes the complete transfer of ownership or lease of encumbrance-free land in favour of NTPC Ltd, and identifying and arranging grid connectivity at the ISTS substation.
