Aker Solutions to build offshore wind HVDC platform

Fornebu, Norway: Aker Solutions will supply the high-voltage, direct current converter platform for an offshore wind project under an EPCI contract.
More details about the project are expected to be announced by the customer and its partners during the following months.
This platform will consist of a steel jacket substructure and a topside platform deck housing the electrical equipment. The work on the platform will start immediately and the installation is scheduled to begin in the second half of the 2024. A year after that, the final deliveries can be expected.
Aker Solutions defines a major contract as being $338 million and above.
