Switzerland, Zurich: Hitachi ABB Power Grids is taking the next step towards digitalisation with a new range of TXpert™ Remote Services for transformer fleets.

The range includes remote monitoring, consulting, troubleshooting, and guidance using augmented reality.

Data collection is straightforward but making effective use of that data is the real challenge. Working together remotely, Hitachi ABB Power Grids supports customers in analysing large amounts of data and creating comprehensive reports that include the next steps required for optimal maintenance.

The range of TXpert™ Remote Services makes full use of the open and scalable TXpert™ Ecosystem of sensing and monitoring solutions to gather real-time data to evaluate a transformer’s condition. Remote monitoring securely connects transformers to a centralized monitoring system in a plant or substation control room via standardised wired, wireless, or cellular communication. In addition, connection to Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ scalable Asset Performance Management software provides actionable insights to minimize the risk of unplanned outages and prioritize investment decisions – whether related to one transformer or an entire enterprise.
