Končar Power Transformers Ltd., a joint venture of Siemens Energy and “Končar-Electrical Industry” PLC on 21 August announced a delivery of a transformer unit to Statnett.

The company said in the announcement that they had already delivered more than 13,000 MVA transformers to the Norwegian state owned enterprise, responsible for owning, operating and constructing the stem power grid in Norway.

The new delivery was that of a 300 MVA reconnectable transformer.

This reconnectable transformer will operate with 300 kV input voltage (300/49.3 kV operation) approximately the first 10 years before the input voltage will be increased to 420 kV (420/(69)138 kV operation).

KPT produces large power transformers in accordance with the customer agreed specifications and national and international standards. Due to rare repetition, new design is required for practically every order.

Special attention is given to the selection and training of employees and management processes, to produce high-quality products that meet the demands and expectations of customers and other interested parties.
