China, Chongqing: Hitachi ABB Power Grids Ltd will develop a world-class transformer manufacturing base in Southwestern China’s Chongqing Municipality.
It will become one of the most advanced manufacturing bases of Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the world, according to a statement of Claudio Facchin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hitachi ABB Power Grids Ltd, on 23 September.
The 16th Annual Meeting of the Chongqing Mayor’s International Economic Advisory (CMIA) is being held from 23 until 25 September in Chongqing. As a member of the CMIA, this is the fifth consecutive year that Claudio Facchin has participated in the annual meeting.
With the emergence of business opportunities for international cooperation, its manufacturing base in Chongqing has gradually developed into a regional export centre for Hitachi ABB Power Grids.
After the completion of the world-class transformer manufacturing base in Liangjiang New Area, the Chongqing plant of Hitachi ABB Power Grids Ltd. will contribute to the clean energy transformation of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and even China as a whole.
“We hope that in the future we can have more direct dialogues and exchanges with Chongqing, and through more cooperation to help Chongqing build an energy-sustainable future, and promote high-quality development of economic and social sectors”, noted Facchin.
