Netherlands: Siemens energy has announced a successful testing of a 170 MVA/400 kV transformer from their Jinan factory.

The transformer has successfully passed the KEMA sudden short-circuit test in the Netherlands, with excellent results and a stable performance.

KEMA is a global market leader in high-voltage equipment testing and certification. This is the highest voltage three-phase transformer that passed the short-circuit test in Jinan´s history. Jinan´s design, manufacturing and quality are continuously improving and have reached a new level.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team from Jinan participated remotely, as they were not able to travel to the Netherlands for the transformer testing. Thanks to the strong collaborative network, experts from Transformers Linz factory came to the site for the installation and other preparations.
