Kahramaa inaugurates HMC super substation

Qatar, Doha: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) inaugurated Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) super substation.

Qatar, Doha: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) inaugurated Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) super substation.

The inauguration of this station comes in the context of Kahramaa’s strategic plan to develop the electrical network, serve vital projects and meet all needs in line with the increasing demand for electricity in the country.

The station operates at 66/220/11 kV, which enables it to secure the electrical energy necessary to cover the project needs at a total cost of $42.5 M (QR 155 M), including the implementation of the station project and all associated works. The capacity of the station is 200 MVA.

Kahramaa continues to play its role in implementing projects in coordination with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and Hamad Medical Corporation.

The opening of the station is part of Kahramaa’s continuous endeavour to provide the best services in accordance with the highest standards of reliability in its electrical network and its work to develop and modernise the infrastructure of the electricity sector to meet all the needs and requirements of the state and society.
