Seven transformers for FirstEnergy

Končar – Power Transformers (KPT) Ltd., a joint-venture of Siemens Energy and Končar, has successfully contracted supply of 7 transformers with FirstEnergy Corp.

Končar – Power Transformers (KPT) Ltd., a joint-venture of Siemens Energy and Končar, has successfully contracted supply of 7 transformers with FirstEnergy Corp.

The transformers are rated 300 MVA, 500 / √3 / 138 / √3 / 13.2 kV. The company source has added that three units from the concluded contract are already in operation, one unit is spare, while the remaining three transformers have been loaded on the ship from the middle of September. The planned delivery to the site is by the end of October.

FirstEnergy Corp is an electric utility headquartered in Akron, Ohio. It was established when Ohio Edison acquired Centerior Energy in 1997. Its subsidiaries and affiliates are involved in the distribution, transmission, and generation of electricity, as well as energy management and other energy-related services.
