One of the major issues with transformer monitoring is to get access to the monitored transformers via the internet, so the monitoring data can be used instantly, whenever they are needed. This is especially important when there is an alarm to check the data and system, but this would also be beneficial for software updates, various researches and investigations, etc.
According to the Transformers Magazine’s Industry Navigator Report, only one quarter of respondents are not likely to allow access to transformers via the internet.
