Croatia, Zagreb: Končar Power Transformers Ltd. (KPT), a joint venture of Siemens Energy and Končar, has recently announced another job well done.
The company has successfully designed, produced and tested a special 360 MVA, 50 kV/100 kV, 137.5 kV/657.5 kV test field transformer. With an impressive weight of 420 t, dimensions 15/6.5/13 m, this transformer is one of the largest ever produced in KPT.
Having this unit in its test bay, KPT is able to provide a full scope of delivery for shunt reactors up to 250 MVAr/550 kV, thus becoming one of the Siemens Energy shunt reactor manufacturers. With the new portfolio element, KPT will be helping the customers prepare their grid for the future and reach sustainable energy goals.
