BHEL floats inverter transformers tender for Raghanesda solar park phase II

India, New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender for the development of inverter transformers.

The tender is issued for the development of ONAN type, 8.8 MVA and 6.4 MVA, 33kV/690-690 V, 3-phase, 3-winding, inverter duty transformers for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s (GSECL) 100 MW Phase-II Raghanesda solar PV project.

BHEL has specified that the manufacturer should have experience of supply of transformers of cumulative capacity of 50 MVA (minimum rating of each transformer 2.5 MVA, 33 kV) within last 5 years prior to the publication of this tender. The manufacturer should also have experience of supply of at least one transformer of the following rating to SPV plants within last five years prior to the publication of this tender: MVA rating: 5 MVA or higher; voltage class: 33 kV or more; type: 3-winding or more.

Any bidder from a country which shares a land border with India will be eligible to bid in this tender only if the bidder is registered with the competent authority, says in the company’s specifications.

State-owned BHEL is an engineering and manufacturing enterprise based in New Delhi. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India. Established in 1956, BHEL is India’s largest power generation equipment manufacturer.
