TRIL receives transformer order from state utility

India, Ahmedabad: Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TRIL] has received an order for transformers from a state utility.

In a stock exchange filing, TRIL said that it has been awarded orders for transformers for total contract value of $24 M (Rs.186 crore) from an undisclosed state power utility.

With this, the company’s order book as of date (10 June 10, 2022) stands at $190 M (Rs.1,482 crore), the filing added.

While no further details on the order were specified, the company clarified that these orders fell under the normal course of business. TRIL has no interest in the entity that has awarded the orders nor do the orders fall within related-party transactions.

In an earlier communication, TRIL had said that as of 31 March 2022, the company had an order book position of $147 M (Rs.1148 crore). In addition, the TRIL has participated in the bidding process of state and Central utilities for supplying equipment worth over $128 M (Rs.1,000 crore), the company said.
