Germany, Berlin: SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, has installed a transformer station for the new wind farm operated by the Landwind Group in Lower Saxony.

The transformer station was commissioned as a turnkey project. “This means that our team performs all work steps – from execution planning in line with customer requirements through to delivery, assembly and commissioning,” says Hannes Weinreich, the Berlin-based sales manager at High Voltage operational division’s Schaltanlagenbau business unit. The planning engineers in the Schaltanlagenbau unit perform detailed advance planning to ensure that everything goes smoothly on-site

The programming and implementation of the protection parameters also undergo extensive testing beforehand. “Fitting out a transformer station all the way through to the turnkey commissioning stage is a lot of responsibility but, thanks to our team of experts covering every area, this is a responsibility we will live up to,” says Hannes Simon with pride. “In addition, our colleagues from the CityNetworks & Grids operational division of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa are helping us to install the 110 kV cable,” says Simon. The transformer station in Gevensleben is scheduled to be commissioned in summer 2023.
