New transmission and distribution orders for L&T

India: The Power Transmission & Distribution Business of Larsen & Toubro Construction has bagged multiple orders in India and abroad.

The company has secured an order for the construction of a 765 kV transmission line in Gujarat. The available power transfer capacity from the interstate transmission system will increase thanks to this network expansion.

An order has been received to upgrade the distribution system in North-East India. This project’s scope includes strengthening medium and low voltage distribution networks.

The company has also won recurring orders to build new 132 kV substations in the United Arab Emirates.

Further, an order has been secured to establish a 380 kV overhead line in Saudi Arabia that will help strengthen the evacuation infrastructure and improve the grid’s reliability in the Western region of the Kingdom.

As the distribution system is being strengthened in the Dhaka and Narayanganj agglomerations of Bangladesh, the company has bagged orders to construct two new 132 kV and 33 kV substations in these regions.
