Končar Power Transformers Ltd., a joint venture of Siemens Energy and Končar, has been selected as the best practice example for Lean implementation in Croatia.
On the occasion, the founder of Lean Enterprise Institute and author of the most important books on Lean management, James P. Womack, has visited the factory of Končar Power Transformers Ltd. (KPT).
Since 1998, the company has carried out numerous activities, workshops, trainings, and improvement projects to become what it is today, says a company source.
“Challenging times make us introspect to find a mechanism to improve and cope with the challenges. Lean management offers tools, principles, and practices for improvement. Lean makes you work smarter and do more with less effort,” says in the release, emphasising the long-term collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb.
