Massive power transformer reaches Abu Dhabi
The heaviest unit yet produced by Koncar Power Transformers Ltd., a joint venture of Siemens Energy and Koncar, has reached Abu Dhabi.

Croatia, Zagreb: The heaviest unit yet produced by Koncar Power Transformers Ltd., a joint venture of Siemens Energy and Koncar, has reached Abu Dhabi.
With a total gross weight of 522 T, and transport weight of 314 T, the transportation of the unit posed both a technical and logistical challenge. The unit was transported by rail from Zagreb to Bratislava, loaded onto a barge and then transported to Rotterdam, where it was loaded onto a transport vessel.
The transport logistics was handled by Felbmayr Transport und Hebetechnik GmbH & CO KG and Liburnia Group.
The transformer reached Abu Dhabi, UAE, on 20 November.
