India, Pune: MSEDCL and MSETCL have joined efforts on a proposal to set up two new 50 MVA power transformers in Bhousari ultra high-pressure substation.

The intention is to streamline the erratic power supply and resolve the frequent power outages in the Bhosari industrial and residential areas.

A press release by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) states that chief engineers of MSEDCL and Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd. (MSETCL) commenced their work on a detailed project report after a joint inspection.

The new transformers will ease the burden on the existing substations.

“It was jointly proposed to install two new power transformers of 50 MVA each, at 22o/22 kV substation. The proposal will in this regard be sent to the headquarters,” said in the statement.
