Albania, Tirana: Networked Energy Services Corporation (NES) has been selected by OSHEE (Electricity Power Distribution System Operator) for its transformer balancing project in Albania.

OSHEE’s new project includes the supply and installation of a smart metering system for its distribution substations. This includes smart meters, communications, and associated software and services. This project includes more than 3,000 distribution transformers and is the first phase of a multi-phase project to provide a transformer balancing solution for all of OSHEE’s substations.

NES will be providing its OSGP (open smart grid protocol) based smart metering solution, its smart meter operational support system, Grid Operations, and its analytics solutions. The smart grid solution will be deployed in cooperation with NES partner, ACI.

“NES is honoured to continue supporting OSHEE with its smart grid initiatives and objectives”, says David Thomson, NES President and CEO. “OSHEE’s decision validates the success of our previous project and our commitment to supporting them with an industry-leading reliable and secure solution. This also underlines the value of the NES System and the project management, technical support, and operations skills of our partner, ACI.”
