India, Maharashtra, Nashik: ABB India has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility for the production of primary and secondary gas-insulated switchgear (GIS).

The factory will serve customers in power distribution, smart cities, data centres, transportation, and infrastructural development industries.

The facility is equipped with advanced robotics for manufacturing, which connects people, processes, and assets. It is capable of relaying real-time data for enhanced productivity. The factory also uses carefully selected materials to minimise the lifecycle environmental impacts. In line with the company’s sustainability strategy targets, the facility has also realized its 100 % renewable electricity commitment to achieve low-carbon operation.
