The transformer substation is expected to be finished in 18 months, complete with 132 kV double-circuit power transmission lines.

“The project will lead to an improved power supply to Oro and its environs, boost economic activities in these areas, especially for artisans and small and large medium-scale businesses, and enhance the social development of the people,” said the Minister for Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed during the ground-breaking ceremony in Oro.

The CEO of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Sule Abdulaziz said that this project, executed by TCN, is to help achieve the availability of reliable electricity for the customers.
