Energoatom to launch transmission line uniting Ukraine and Europe

Ukraine, Kyiv: Ukraine is preparing to launch a power transmission line connecting the Ukrainian and European energy systems.
For that purpose, Energoatom, Ukrainian largest power producer, is preparing to commission an overhead power transmission line that will connect the Ukrainian energy system to that of Europe through Poland.
According to the company president Petro Kotyn, the line is already functional and all the necessary equipment has been installed, with the finalisation works performed before the launch. As soon as NPC Ukrenergo fulfils its obligations, the line will be energised.
“This is how we expand your opportunities and strengthen Ukraine’s connection with the European energy system,” commented Petr Kotyn.
He added that in the future, this transmission line will allow Ukraine to export and import electricity to EU countries, which will have a positive impact on the development of the domestic economy.
