KONČAR D&ST in transition towards a low-carbon economy

Croatia, Zagreb: This year KONČAR – Distribution and Special Transformers (KONČAR – D&ST) issues its third annual sustainability report.
At the same time, activities on the implementation of a comprehensive sustainable business strategy were launched, as part of which an analysis of the organization’s carbon footprint will also be created. KONČAR – D&ST recognizes the importance of corporate sustainability and responsibility and promotes sustainability across a variety of activities – by building a 1.1 MW PV power plant, through transformer loss reduction efforts, by using eco-friendly insulating liquids and corrosion protection with a reduced proportion of volatile organic compounds.
KONČAR – D&ST has been continuously working on analyses and reduction of the products’ carbon footprint. Through these projects, we give highlight suppliers which offer products and materials with a reduced carbon footprint. In this way, the company is oriented towards savings in raw materials, energy use, total costs and, finally, a more sustainable product.
