Switzerland, Lenzburg: Hitachi Energy’s Semiconductors has inaugurated a new silicon-carbide eMobility production line in Lenzburg, Switzerland.

Markus Thut, Operations Manager at Hitachi Energy’s Semiconductors says the most crucial thing in the development of the new production line is having the right people onsite and in the right spirit. The SiC eMobility production line was a collaboration between R&D, production and test engineering, who developed the process and the production technologies along with the product, says the company in a press release.

The fully automated line is an example of smart manufacturing, with fully integrated data systems, clean room and server infrastructure.

“This is the starting point of a great future – both for this product and our production,” said Thut. “The inauguration served as a kickoff for all of the employees involved, motivating them to begin a great endeavour and maintain that motivation on the road ahead. We’re seizing the opportunity for success.”
