The 13th lesson in the Design of power transformers deals with the ability to withstand short circuit and it will be held live on May 25, at 2pm CET. It will be presented on the Master’s level by course author, Aleksandar Lojpur.
In this lesson, the host will demonstrate the ability of the transformer to withstand short circuit during a design review (acc. to IEC 60076-5). The demonstration includes an evaluation of the transformer by comparison with reference transformer that has successfully passed the short-circuit test, as well as an evaluation of the transformer by check against the manufacturer’s design rules for short-circuit strength.
