Nigeria, Sagamu: The Transmission Company of Nigeria has successfully energised a 60 MVA power transformer to boost electricity supply.

Along with the energization of the newly installed power transformer, the company also completed the construction of a control room in its Sagamu 132/33 kV Transmission Substation in southwest Nigeria.

Prior to the completion of the 60 MVA power transformer, the Sagamu Transmission Substation had two number 30 MVA transformers, according to the statement made by TCN.

The TCN added that with this installation, the wheeling capacity of the substation has increased from 48 MW capacity to 96 MW.

“This means more available bulk power for Ibadan DisCo to take to its consumers in Sagamu and environs,” TCN added.
