UAE, Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has commissioned six 132/11 kV transmission substations.

The six new 132/11 kV substations, commissioned from January to the end of April 2023, are located in Al Jaddaf; Tilal Al Ghaf; Bani Yas; Jebel Ali Port; Marsa Dubai; and Al Yufrah 1. They have a conversion capacity of 900 MVA and cost 151,106,742 USD (555 M AED).

The project included 3,450 m of 132 kV ground cable to connect with the main transmission network. In order to complete these substations, over 6 M safe working hours have been spent, using the latest global transmission substation digital technologies.
