Croatia, Zagreb: KONČAR – Inženjering won two extremely important contracts with the Swedish transmission system operator Svenska Kraftnät.

KONČAR – Inženjering d.o.o. (Končar – Engineering Ltd.) (KET) will be commissioned for the complex 220 kV Linnvasselv transformer station expansion project, as well as the primary equipment and protection and control systems reconstruction project on seven 220 kV transformer stations near Stockholm. The scope of work will involve turnkey engineering services, including project management, design, delivery, and installation of primary equipment, control and protection systems, functional testing of the complete facility, and commissioning. By achieving this important step, the total contractual value of KET on the Swedish market reached over $21.8 M (20 M EUR).

Due to the very strong competition and market requirements regarding the delivery of high-quality products and services, the Swedish market is recognized as one of the most demanding in Europe and, as such, is of exceptional strategic importance.

“After a long pre-qualification process with Swedish customers and very intensive sales activities, last year, for the first time in its history, KET won two turnkey job contracts for Svenska Kraftnät (SVK), the Swedish transmission system operator, and Vattenfall Eldistribution, the distribution system operator. These are complex projects dealing with the Finnslätten high-voltage transformer station revitalization, i.e., the replacement of the protection and control system on four 400 kV and 220 kV transformer stations. At the same time, it is important to emphasize that the implementation of these projects is already in full swing,” stated M.Sc. Ivan Tomšić, KONČAR – Inženjering Management Board Member.
