Hungary, Tápiószele: Ganz to launch a major energy optimisation programme in their Tápiószele factory.

As the main element of the project from a sustainability perspective, Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd. is building a 2 MW solar power plant to supply renewable energy to their plant.

With the commissioning of the solar power plant, Ganz’s technological gas consumption will decrease, as well as the company’s total carbon emissions, for which a decrease of almost 50 % is expected.

Thus, with a total investment of more than 12 M USD (€11 M), a significant part of the energy needs of their factory will be supplied by renewable energy from 2024, enabling Ganz to move to the next level of sustainable business operations. As part of the investment programme, the company will also apply advanced engineering solutions in the factory to meet ESG targets and introduce other measures to support energy modernisation.
Being one of the key players in the energy market, Ganz stated that it is extremely important for them to pioneer all solutions that support sustainable operation and the achievement of ESG goals.
