Croatia, Zagreb: Dalekovod’s offer has been selected in a tender for the construction of a new 420 kV line in Norway.

Croatian power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod said on Tuesday that its offer has been selected in a tender for the construction of a new 420 kV line in Norway.

The transmission line, part of the SkaidiHyggevatn section in northern Norway, will be 54 kilometres in length, Dalekovod said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse. It did not disclose the value of its offer submitted in the tender called by Norwegian electricity transmission system operator Statnett.

The new transmission line is needed to support the electrification of the local petroleum industry, according to Statnett’s website.

Dalekovod’s shares last traded on Friday on the Zagreb bourse, closing flat at 2.86 euro ($3.0).

The company has been present in Norway for some time now, for example, building 41 km of the Aurland – Sogndal transmission line.
