India, Mumbai: L&T Construction’s Power Transmission & Distribution has secured several major contracts in several regions.

Larsen & Toubro Construction’s Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured major contracts across several regions, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, India, and Malaysia, in the current fiscal quarter.

In Saudi Arabia, L&T Construction has won a comprehensive order for the construction of a 380 kV substation, coupled with associated overhead transmission lines.

In Kuwait, the company has secured another significant contract involving the construction of five substations, further enhancing its footprint in the emerging residential city. This move aligns with L&T Construction’s mission to bolster urban expansion.

Further reinforcing its commitment to the Gulf, L&T Construction has also secured additional orders for ongoing substation projects in Qatar, strengthening its presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

In India, L&T Construction is contributing to the state of Chhattisgarh by implementing 400 kV and 220 kV transmission lines, mitigating grid congestion and improving the state’s power transmission grid’s efficiency.

In Malaysia, the company has entered into a consortium agreement to establish a 275 kV underground cable system, which will effectively double the power transmission capacity of the existing network.
