Transformer on fire in Moscow substation
The Chagino substation was on fire in Lyublino District of Moscow on the night of 23-24 November.

Russia, Moscow: The Chagino substation was on fire in Lyublino District of Moscow on the night of 23-24 November.
Russian news agencies reported that the transformer where the fire occurred was disconnected from the network in order to extinguish the fire at the substation. The fire occupied an area of several metres and a large pillar of smoke could be seen from afar. A video from the scene was also published online.
In the morning, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the event, and said that firefighters had extinguished it. Residents were also assured that the fire did not affect the functioning of Moscow’s energy supply systems.
