USA: Nextracker claims it has surpassed a corporate milestone of 10 GW of smart solar trackers operational or under fulfilment for projects located in the Middle East, Africa and India.

The company is a provider of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions. The milestone was achieved in December after securing significant orders in the region.

Dan Shugar, Nextracker founder and CEO, said: “This is a region marked by a wide range of energy transition needs and opportunities, and we’re proud to have reached this significant milestone. We continue to invest in these markets with sales, engineering, and professional services teams to better serve our customers throughout the entire solar project lifecycle.”

With the markets representing an opportunity for utility-scale solar growth across the region, Nextracker ramped its domestic content and manufacturing programme in the Middle East and India. Its products are currently operating on several projects across the region, such as Sudair and Sakaka Solar Parks in Saudi Arabia, Phase V of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai, UAE, and several projects in the Indian states of Karnataka, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.
