Croatia, Zagreb: Dalekovod-Projekt said it will take part in Lika, a key national power transmission project.

Croatian electrical engineering company Dalekovod-Projekt, owned by the power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod, said that it will take part in Lika, a key national power transmission project seen as a stepping stone for the success of the country’s energy transition and energy independence, together with partners in the field of environment protection. The project aims to ensure an increase in transmission network capacity in the direction from Split to Rijeka and Zagreb, enabling the smooth integration of renewable energy sources into the network, Dalekovod-Projekt said.

The project encompasses the construction of a new 400/x kV Lika substation, 400 kV Veleševec switchyard, the construction and equipping of new 400 kV switchyards in Konjsko and Melina substations, and nearly 400 km of double-circuit 400 kV transmission lines, the design of which will be assigned to Dalekovod-Projekt. The first phase, valued at almost €5 million euro ($5.5 million), includes the development of conceptual solutions and environmental impact studies. The company expects to sign a deal for it with the Croatian transmission system operator, HOPS.
