L&T wins major UAE and Kuwait power project deals
Larsen & Toubro has announced that one of its subsidiaries, Power Transmission & Distribution, has secured large power infrastructure orders from its prime GCC markets of UAE and Kuwait.

India: Larsen & Toubro has announced that one of its subsidiaries, Power Transmission & Distribution, has secured large power infrastructure orders from its prime GCC markets of UAE and Kuwait.
The orders are valued in the range of INR 25 billion to INR 50 billion ($301 million to $602 million). L&T said its key PT&D Business has bagged an order from the UAE for providing engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning services for a 400/132 kV substation. The scope of work includes associated transformer, reactor and substation control and monitoring systems (SCMS).
In Kuwait, it won an order to establish 400 kV overhead transmission lines along with associated 400 kV underground cable interconnections, with this transmission segment being more than 100 km long. Additional orders have been won in ongoing substation orders in the region.
