SGB-SMIT has announced it is opening a new production site for distribution transformers with its new partner, ELECTROALFA International S.R.L. in Botoșani, Romania.

Romania, Botoșani: SGB-SMIT has announced it is opening a new production site for distribution transformers with its new partner, ELECTROALFA International S.R.L. in Botoșani, Romania.
SGB-SMIT said in a statement that the joint venture agreement with its new partner was signed last week and that the new factory will serve European customers with their best-in-class products and services from 2025 onwards. ELECTROALFA International S.R.L. is one of the largest distributors of electrical equipment such as equipment for low-voltage distribution and medium-voltage switchgear in Romania. According to the company, the factory is part of the its growth strategy which includes playing a key role in energy transmission and distribution.
