India, Mumbvai: The power transmission & distribution (PTD) business of Larsen & Toubro has won substation-related orders in the Middle East and a floating solar project mandate in India.

L&T said in a release that, in Saudi Arabia, an order has been received for turnkey construction of a 380 kV substation. It has also won substation and voltage conversion orders from hydrocarbon companies in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. An additional order has been secured in an ongoing 220 kV power supply project in the UAE.

In India, the company has won an order for a 75 MW floating solar PV plant on the Panchet Dam, in Dhanbad district, Jharkhand. The plant is part of the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park which is being developed on the reservoirs of Central PS Damodar Valley Corporation, in Jharkhand and West Bengal. L&T did not specify the worth of the orders, but the aggregate value of the mandates is in the range of INR2,500 crore ($301 million) to INR5,000 crore ($602 million).
