Croatia, Zagreb: The Croatian electrical equipment manufacturer Končar Elektroindustrija said that its Koncar D&ST unit will deliver a 120 MVA 110 kV transformer to an unnamed Irish customer, for a wind farm that is still under construction. The transformer should be installed in April.

The largest transformer ever manufactured for the Irish market was contracted in December 2022, enabling the wind farm a connection to the national transmission network. The 29 turbine wind farm will have an installed capacity of over 100 MW. The wind farm should be completed in 2025, and generate power to supply 66000 homes and offset over 70 million kg of CO2 per year.
