Adani’s 551 MW solar park

Adani Green Energy has commissioned a 551 MW solar park in Khavda, Gujarat, supplying power to the national grid.

India, Gujarat: The milestone was achieved within 12 months of commencing work on the Khavda RE park, starting with the development of basic infrastructure such roads and connectivity, and creating a self-sustaining social ecosystem. The company plans to develop 30 GW of capacity at the site, with the planned capacity expected to be operational sometime in the next five years. It has been reported that the energy generated by the park is capable of powering 16.1 million homes each year.

The region is said to be one of the most abundant when it comes to wind and solar resources in India, making it ideal for giga-scale development. Adani emphasized that extensive studies were conducted and multiple innovative solutions were implemented in order to accelerate the development of the plant, while supporting the development of an indigenous and sustainable supply chain.
