Mumbai’s first 400 kV GIS substation
Godrej & Boyce, flagship company of the Godrej Group announced that its business Godrej Electricals & Electronics, has completed projects ranging from 132 kV to 765 kV.

India, Mumbai: The business said that it commissioned eight substations in FY24, including the first 400 kV GIS vertical substation in Mumbai. This project adds 1500 MVA to the city’s energy capacity, which will help address the ever-increasing demand for electricity.
Raghavendra Mirji, Executive Vice President & Business Head, Godrej Electricals & Electronics commented on the achievement, saying that this was not just a business endeavour, but also “a vital contribution to India’s energy resilience”.
