Ukraine, Kyiv: Due to shelling by Russia, power lines in Chernihiv region were also damaged amd almost 200 consumers were simultaneously disconnected in two settlements. However, the Ministry of Energy said that in general there is no shortage in the energy system, with seven units of thermal power plants in reserve, to be used if necessary.

  • Since March 4, 2022, Zaporizhia NPP has repeatedly remained with one power supply line (out of four available before the war) or completely switched to electricity from diesel generators when the last of the lines, including the backup one, was damaged.
