Distribution system operators of DTEK Grids plan to invest UAH 4 billion ($103.7 million) in the power grids in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv regions and Kyiv in 2024.

Ukraine, Kyiv: The funds will be used to improve the stability and reliability of the grid. DTEK Grids aims to reduce emergency situations and ensure stable operation of power grids with new lines, substations and modernization of existing ones.

DTEK Kyiv Grids plans to reconstruct four large high-voltage substations, in which power transformers will be replaced and switchgear will be modernized. The modernization of these facilities will directly increase the reliability of power supply for more than 73000 families in Sviatoshynsky, Holosiyivsky and Solomiansky districts.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids will work on the construction of a new line to provide backup power for seven substations. This project and the reconstruction of the high-voltage substation will enable the reduction of the duration of outages for more than 17000 families in Obukhiv.

DTEK Odesa Grids continues to reconstruct three 110 kV high-voltage substations. This will reduce the risk of accidents for 110000 customers and 20 socially important facilities, including boiler houses, hospitals and water supply and sanitation facilities.

DTEK Dnipro Grids will carry out reconstruction at one of the hub substations with the division of sections, making it possible to effectively use existing transformers and provide reliable power supply to more than 15000 families and industrial enterprises. This should create a power reserve for connecting new clients.
