USA, New York: According to a South Fork’s spokesperson’s statement to Renews, as the last turbine has been installed, commissioning work is ongoing, and the wind farm is moving toward full power. Installation was performed by Van Oord using its jack-up Aeolus. The project uses 12 Siemens Gamesa 11 MW wind turbines. Its location is some 56 km east of Montauk Point.

All monopile foundations and an offshore substation were installed in summer 2023, while the wind turbine components started arriving around the same time. The final turbine was installed on February 20. This wind farm is New York’s first.
