Italy: SolarDuck, Green Arrow Capital, and New Developments plan to develop a 120 MW offshore floating photovoltaic (OFPV) project integrated with a 420 MW floating offshore wind farm. The Corigliano offshore hybrid wind-solar farm will be located in the gulf of Taranto off the coast of Corigliano-Rossano in Calabria and will include 28 floating turbines.

The development will install SolarDuck’s elevated platform technology, allowing PV panels to be deployed in significant wave heights while maintaining a safe working environment for access and maintenance and minimising environmental impact. The collaboration will allow the harnessing of complementarity wind and solar energy resources. At the moment, the project is under permitting with an estimated COD in 2028.
