Switzerland, Zürich: The first-ever framework agreement between Hitachi Energy and RWE consists of the supply of small power transformers (SPTs) for RWE’s green energy projects in Europe. The companies established foundational base designs for various SPTs sourced from Hitachi Energy. The designs will align with the technical and regulatory specifications of the countries where the projects will be accomplished.

“We thank RWE for the trust, and we are excited to collaborate as a technology partner in advancing multiple renewable energy projects and supporting Europe’s journey toward carbon neutrality. In the pursuit of net zero, it is imperative to embrace solid partnerships and collaboration such as this one, ensuring the scale and speed to decarbonize energy systems,” said Norbert Beatrix, Hub Manager Europe Region, Business Unit Transformers, Hitachi Energy.

The frame agreement is an important collaboration with a large energy company advancing energy system decarbonization across Europe. Earlier, Hitachi Energy Business Unit Transformers announced a strategic partnership with TenneT aimed at advancing a massive grid development program in Germany.
