Brazil: Jaraguá do Sul: WEG will supply five 1000 kVA, 15 kV dry-type transformers to Eskimó Ice Cream industry, a prominent company in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. These transformers will be used in the substation and will support increased production capacity and play an important role in the company’s electrical infrastructure. The delivery of these transformers is scheduled for May 2024 and will be carried out directly to the customer’s factory, with WEG’s logistics expertise ensuring safe transportation and integrity of the equipment during transit.

Dry-type transformers use ambient air as a cooling medium and for insulation of their windings and other components. Their main function is to adjust primary voltage levels to those used in industries, residences, and general enterprises, and as such, they are fundamental solutions for the efficient and safe operation of substations.
