Ukraine, Kyiv: According to Ukrenergo, 398 settlements were without electricity on the morning of 8 April. There are power outages in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson oblasts due to hostilities, as Ukrenergo’s energy facilities were damaged in the Dnipro district and eastern regions during the day.

Russian missile and UAV attacks damaged equipment at an Ukrenergo substation in the Dnipro district and two high-voltage overhead lines, but consumer power outages were not reported. In the east, a 330 kV substation was cut off from the power grid due to artillery shelling. Hourly power outage schedules from 06:00 on Monday in Kharkiv Oblast are in effect, with consumption limits for industrial consumers in Kryvyi Rih continuing.

Emergency repair work continues around the clock, but in difficult conditions. In the east, repair crews at an Ukrenergo substations have restored some equipment damaged during attacks.

During the day, imports from four countries and exports to five countries are planned. The imports from Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova are planned for the evening hours, while the exports occur during the daytime peak activity of renewable energy power plants in Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova.
