Croatia, Zagreb: Croatian electrical equipment manufacturer Končar Elektroindustrija said its unit Končar – Instrument Transformers has completed the delivery of 21 current instrument transformers to Saudi Arabia’s state oil producer Aramco. These transformers, operating a voltage level of 380 kV, will be used in the Jafurah gas field’s development efforts, one of Aramco’s most significant projects for the energy transition. The Jafurah Basin spans 17000 km2 and is the Middle East’s most extensive shale gas field.

Končar – Instrument Transformers will also deliver 18 current instrument transformers operating at a voltage level of 380 kV in April to the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). They will be installed within substations that link 380 kV transmission lines between Afif and Mahd Al Dahb in Saudi Arabia’s central region. Končar hasn’t disclosed the value of the deals.
